American Gold Star Mothers Inc. was founded in 1928 with a group of Gold Star Mothers whose children died serving in WWI.
American Gold Star Mothers from across the United States will have the opportunity to participate in the Homecoming 21 project by conducting online research, and encouraging their local communities to have programs to honor and remember the many sacrifices of war.
The relevance of the Homecoming 21 project to the Mission of AGSM is undeniable.Cindy Tatum, National President
AGSM members can join us by…
- Helping us create a list of these grave sites through one of our Virtual Research Workshops
- Planning and organizing a grave site visit or ceremony to honor our WWI fallen and their families.
We will be rolling out more information in the weeks to come, including toolkits to start planning ceremonies and gravesite visits, and additional resources about this project — and AGSM’s important role in its history!
