HOMECOMING ’21 spotlights a little-known chapter of America’s history.

Thanks to the recent commemorations marking the centennial of World War I (1914-1918), many Americans have learned of our nation’s role in this global conflict that shaped the modern world.

However, few know the story of the human cost of the war, and of how the remains of tens of thousands of Americans were brought home in the years following the war to be returned to their families.

This story of sacrifice, loss and reunion reaches into every corner of our nation, and serves as a reminder of our shared experience as Americans.
